About
Embody Life is a London-based somatic therapy practice built on gentle, trauma-informed, body-based work. Here's a bit about me, and about the collaborators I work alongside.

Gianluca Campanella
Certified TRE™ Provider
I'm Gianluca, and I created Embody Life to share the body-based practices that changed how I live in mine.
My path here wasn't a straight line. I spent years working in technology, and it was there that I first felt what chronic stress does to a body: the tightness that doesn't ease, the fatigue that outlasts a good night's sleep, the sense of being disconnected from yourself while still going through the motions. TRE™ was the first practice that gave my body a way to actually let go of what it was holding, rather than just thinking my way around it.
Six years of personal practice later, I trained as a Certified TRE™ Provider, and I'm currently training as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and Humanistic Psychotherapist. Embody Life is where I bring all of that together: gentle, trauma-informed spaces where you can explore your body's own capacity to release and restore, at your own pace.

My values
Everything I do is guided by three principles:
- Safety first. I create grounded, supportive spaces where you can explore at your own pace, with consent and boundaries always respected.
- Body-led. I trust the body's innate intelligence. My practices work with your nervous system rather than overriding it.
- Accessible and inclusive. Somatic therapy should be available to everyone. I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels.
Why somatic therapy?
Stress, tension, and trauma don't just live in the mind. They're stored in the body. You might notice it as a tight jaw, shallow breathing, chronic back pain, or a sense of disconnection from physical sensation. Somatic therapy offers a direct pathway to release what the body is holding, without needing to talk about or analyse it.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, stress and burnout, chronic pain, or the effects of past trauma, my practices can help you find greater ease, presence, and connection in your body.
How is this different from talking therapy?
Talking therapy works through understanding: making sense of your experiences, identifying patterns of thought, and developing new ways of relating to them. It's valuable and we're firm believers in it. One of my collaborators is a trained psychotherapist.
Somatic therapy takes a different entry point. Rather than processing experiences through language and cognition, it works directly with the body and nervous system. You don't need to talk about what happened or understand it intellectually. The body already knows what it needs to release; it just needs the right conditions.
For many people, the two approaches complement each other well. Talking therapy can help you make meaning of your experiences, while somatic work helps your body let go of what it's still carrying. If you're already in therapy, my practices can deepen and accelerate what you're doing there.
Collaborators
I work alongside trusted collaborators who bring their own expertise to specific practices at Embody Life.
