FAQ
Find answers to common questions about somatic therapy and our approach.
What is somatic therapy?
Somatic therapy is a body-centred approach to healing that recognises the connection between mind and body. Rather than just talking about experiences, somatic practices help you tune into physical sensations, release stored tension, and restore balance to your nervous system.
Who are your workshops for?
Our workshops are for anyone looking to release stress, reconnect with their body, or explore somatic practices. No prior experience is needed. Whether you're dealing with chronic tension, recovering from burnout, or simply curious about body-based approaches to wellbeing, you're welcome here.
What should I wear to a workshop?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely and lie down. Layers are helpful as body temperature can fluctuate during the practices. Avoid restrictive clothing like tight jeans or belts.
Do I need to be physically fit?
No special fitness level is required. Our practices are accessible to most people and can be adapted to your needs. If you have specific physical limitations or health concerns, please contact us before booking so we can advise whether our workshops are suitable for you.
What happens in a typical workshop?
Our workshops begin with an introduction and grounding exercises. You'll then be guided through the somatic practices (TRE™ and breathwork), followed by integration time for rest and reflection. There's space for questions and sharing throughout, though participation is always optional.
Is it normal to feel emotional during a session?
Yes, it's completely normal. Somatic practices can release emotions that have been held in the body. You might experience crying, laughter, or other emotional expressions. Our facilitators create a safe, non-judgmental space for whatever arises.
How do I book a workshop?
You can book through our booking platform. Visit our Workshops section to see upcoming dates and secure your spot. Spaces are limited to ensure everyone receives proper attention and support.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer full refunds for cancellations made at least 7 days before the workshop. For cancellations within 7 days, we offer a credit towards a future workshop. If you're unwell on the day, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Where are your workshops held?
Our workshops take place in central London. The exact venue address is shared with participants after booking. All our spaces are chosen for comfort, privacy, and accessibility.
Can I attend if I'm pregnant or have a medical condition?
Some somatic practices are contraindicated for pregnancy and certain medical conditions. Please contact us before booking if you're pregnant, have cardiovascular issues, epilepsy, psychiatric conditions, or any other health concerns. We're happy to discuss whether our workshops are suitable for you.
